“Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord”
Hosanna in the highest heaven!”
Sing Hosanna, Lord save us.
Blessed is the One who comes in the name of the Lord.
The first triumphant entry was on a donkey:
The Prince of Peace was going to serve His own justice.
The next triumphant entry will be on a white horse:
The King of kings is coming for judgment!
Such privilege have I
That the Prince of Peace and the Lamb of God
The Lover of my Soul and the One who served my judgement
Is the King of kings and the Lord of Lords.
The Greatest Lover wept over the holy city
Because its dwellers rejected the way of peace.
The Prince of Peace cleansed His Father’s House.
“’My temple will be called a house of prayer,’
But you have turned it into ‘a den of thieves.’”
The Light of the world asks of us
Just as He did then:
“Put your trust in the light while there is still time.
Then you will become Children of the Light.”
The Great Physician still heals today.
The Lover of Children relishes perfect praise.
Make me a Child
Because I am Your Child.
The Great Storyteller is the answer
When life doesn’t make sense, and you have questions.
His stories give glimpse of His Kingdom
And one theme runs through from the Bridesmaids, to the
talents and to the sheep and goats:
That the One who saves also judges, once the time is up.
The Son of Man knew the plan
To accuse Him falsely and give Him a criminal’s execution
Yet the Redeemer surrendered
To the perfumed bath
And to the betrayal that brought His death.
The Servant-Master washes feet clean
And whole lives too.
The One who came to save came to serve too
And calls His own to do the same.
The Great Provider set a feast
The Bread of Life broke bread
The True Vine served wine
And all who continue this sacred feast in truth
Can hope to feast with Him again.
The Great Shepherd rent His heart
The lonely road ahead was hard.
And friends with heavy eyes would not comfort.
Because He drank that bitter cup
He reigns supreme forevermore.
The hour came for the Timeless One
One kiss, a signal to arrest.
The Great Physician healed his captor:
He would not fight, He came to save.
The Great High Priest faced lower priests.
He did not dignify false witnesses with denial.
The Son of Man spoke truth with Daniel’s words,
Before the dawn of the day of death.

Where Pilate cowered, Redeemer stood.
Though the ones who sang “Hosanna” cried “Crucify Him”
The Christ Himself forgave their sins.
Every lash of whip to buy our peace.
We there with them, the guilty ones He saves.
With shame and anguish God’s own Son suffered:
The Sacrifice to cancel all guilt.
And when He died, He shook the world.
The sun stopped shinning, the veil was torn,
Though meant for evil, it was God’s plan.
The King of the Jews had paid my debt
My Advocate had bridged the gulf
To reconcile mankind to the God of love,
The King of Glory won the case.
That early morning, the earth quaked, and soldiers
trembled
The Eternal One rose from the dead!
The fearful became fearless
They had seen the Risen Lord.
It all came together as Scripture was fulfilled
The prophets made sense, and so did the Teacher.
Evil was conquered, with Jesus obedience
Where Adam had failed,
His Seed struck the serpent.
With glorious ascension, the Church was commissioned.
With thunderous entry, and tongues of fire,
Flesh received the Spirit.
The victory is won, though the battle continues.
Death shall die when its time is up.
Don’t believe a lie; the death was real.
The empty tomb bears witness: the Saviour lives on.
Turn from your sins and be forgiven,
The host of Heaven cheer you on.

My Light and Salvation, with all that I am,
Let me be a song for you.
Let me tell the good news of Your Kingdom:
He has betrothed me;
He has paid the bride price.
Olowo ori mi, Ade ori mi.
The Only One who truly and fully satisfies.
Come! Maranatha!
